Pinch Pot party ~ For adults

Guests will be guided through how to make a basic pinch pot from clay and how to decorate it with the brightly coloured slips avaliable. You will also have the option to make something more sculptural if you like, the inly limit is your imagination!

Join us for a 2 hour session of pinch pot making! This workshop is designed for adults to work with my guidance to make 2 small or one large plant pot. I would recommend this for complete beginners who would like a nice intro to clay work.

Cost is £30 per adult

You will be given a 1kg blob of peach earthenware clay, which we will split into two portions to make your pots with. I will take you through how to make sure your clay is prepped and ready, how to make successful pinch pots and finally how to decorate them with slip. There will be a choice of APPLE GREEN, DARK TURQUOISE, TERRACOTTA, RED, ORANGE, PINK, BLACK, WHITE, BLUE, DUCK EGG BLUE, WHITE and YELLOW slip. When they are finished your pots will stay with me to be dried out, coated in a transparent glaze and fired for you to collect 2 weeks later.

Once work goes into the kiln I can’t be responsible for how your work comes out as that is the nature of ceramics - however we are making two pots anyway and generally I can piece most stuff back together.
